Well 'Ive managed to work on this project for only a few hours since I last posted. I sense my daughter is really needing me for these past two weeks so Ive been spending most of my time with her.
I really hope that someday I'll be able to create and be a part of team that produces quality heartfelt, inspiring entertainment for the kiddos, but right now my own kiddo needs me! LOL. But here's the progress I've made since the last post! THERE IS PROGESS! Although not much..HAHAHA

I was able to find some time to work on this tonight. Here's the progress!

Monday, May 5, 2014

So I just finished up an internship at the Mill, and have learned a lot from the experience! Now I'm sending out my reel and resume to potential employers. As of yesterday, I think I pretty much covered all the available and possible job opportunities for the companies I'm interested in being a part of. Now its just waiting for positions to come up. This means I finally get time to work on my own stuff! Wahoo!

So I think first I'm going to go back to my environment project since I only have character work on my reel. Here's where I left off-

The concept is a Mary Blair piece from Cinderella. I'll have to switch from Arnold to Vray since I dont have access to Arnold at the moment. Cant wait to dig into it again!

Here's a quick exercise I did today. Didn't put much work into the ground plane, Just a polyplane sculpted in soft mod mode in Maya with a texture I found on google images but I did put effort into the statue. Sculpted in Zbrush and textured in Mari. I might do something more with this in the future.

I managed to get her posed using Setup Machine. Now its time for the details.

Sunday, December 1, 2013

I was able to get some work done yesterday. She's UVed. I still need to pose her before I put the last details. Thinking of using setup machine to pose my model this time. I usually use zbrush's posing tools. We'll see.

For my next demoreel project....

For my next demoreel project, I have decided to model and texture the Mothra twins played by Yumi and Emi Ito from the original 1961 version. I had a hard time understanding their proportions Until I finally found information on their actual height which is 4 feet and 11 inches. Here is a quick sculpt I did of the body for the twins from Wednesday morning. I plan on putting together the whole scene of the twins (or The Peanuts as they were called) on the rock amidst the flowers, with a camera move. Here's some images of the scene from Mothra that I plan to replicate along with the sculpt I did of the body. It's in a very early stage, But I wanted to show my progression.
